The challenge with doing a TFP photoshoot this time of year is that I am so busy with the holidays that it's hard to turn around edited photos in a timely manner. Thus I'm just now sharing a preview with you of a shoot I did with Foxglove in Seattle at the end of November.

But this is going to be a good one. We shot at a Peerspace rental in Fremont that had three rooms to choose from. We shot in two of them, the "jungle room" featuring lots of green plants and wallpaper and the "powder room" outfitted as a drawing room with more of a pink color scheme. Both had massive windows that brought light in through sheer curtains. It was a cloudy day, so the light was relatively dim, but also very even, and the resulting natural light portraits are fantastic.

We primarily shot boudoir and figure nudes, though we ended with a set in which Foxglove was dressed in a pink Shibari karada (one of the best I've ever tied, honestly) -- still not exactly erotic, but slightly more so than the more portrait-style images of the rest of the set.

I'm also experimenting with a new tool that so far I'm really liking: a Colorchecker card, which allows me to build a color profile specific to my camera and the lighting conditions. The above image is with the profile applied. Here's what the image would have looked like without the Colorchecker profile, along with a split-screen comparison and close-up. You can see the differences especially in the skin, and to a lesser extent in the greenery and background. The colors are brighter, with more contrast; the effect is subtle but real. I like it.

Given family gatherings over the next few days, it's likely Foxglove's set won't be finished till after Christmas. I'll share more with you then.
