Following up yesterday's 2022-in-review blog post, Here are my top ten photos of 2022. This is based on a combination of acceptances to exhibitions and PSA-affiliated salons, publications, and awards won, and like last night's post, reflects photos submitted to calls with closing dates between December 1, 2021 and November 30, 2022.
1. "Rest and Upheaval," Queen Dandelion, Rialto Beach, July 2018
Same as last year, this image continues to excel far above the rest of my portfolio. This year's highlights include exhibition in galleries in Florida (where it was sold) and, coming up, in Glasgow, Scotland; Honorable Mentions as the lead image in a series at PX3 Prix in Paris, in the Black & White Spider Awards, and in the ND Photo Awards; and six acceptances in four PSA salons, where it won a Gold Medal and three Honorable Mentions or the equivalent.

2. "Jacob's Angel," Vex Voir, Interlaken Park, June 2017
This photo was a wonderful surprise. I hadn't used it at all in 2021, but it took the PSA salons by storm, landing in the number two slot for this year and all the way up to number 3 in all-time rank. Highlights include exhibition at a gallery in Arizona; Honorable Mention at the online Art Show International; and 15 acceptances at nine PSA salons, including three Honorable Mention awards or the equivalent.

Another happy surprise, this image dates back a decade, but was immediately treated positively by contest judges when I finally submitted it. It was accepted nine times at six PSA salons, earning three Honorable Mention awards or the equivalent in addition to the "Highest Score" at one salon. It was also included in this year's digital exhibition at the Rochester Erotic Arts Festival.

Yet another photo from that great photo shoot at Rialto Beach in the summer of 2018. This photo was ranked number 3 last year and remains in the top ten, including all-time rank, where it's number 5. It was accepted 7 times at 5 PSA salons, and earned a Gold Medal and two Honorable Mentions. It was also one of a 6-photo series that received an Honorable Mention at the PX3 Prix online contest in Paris.

Katlyn and I made this photo in March of this year, hiking a couple of miles in on a road not yet open to summer vehicle traffic. It was totally worth it, as the photos are awesome and have been climbing the ranks of my best images, led by this one, which is now ranked number 17 overall. It was accepted nine times at three PSA salons, and won a Bronze Medal and Honorable Mention.
