Long time no post (except my recent grumpy-old-man post), but (you’ve heard this before) I’ve been busy! Hopefully (you’ve heard this before too) I’ll have more regular updates going forward.
Just a quick update to start things off. This is old news but I haven’t shared it yet: back in April, I received word that my entry to the Washington Trails Association’s Northwest Exposure photo contest had not been selected. That’s hardly big news, but a few days later I received a follow-up message saying that despite my photos not winning awards, one of them was good enough that they wanted to use it for a fundraising promotion!
What can I say, I’m a sucker for helping out causes I believe in, and WTA is one of them. They do thousands of hours of volunteer work at Mount Rainier National Park every year, keeping those trails I love so much in top shape, and tens of thousands more hours around the state. I would never say no to such a cause!
Here’s the photo they chose to use.
