I really enjoy subscribing to "Shots" magazine, a small-run magazine published out of St. Paul, Minnesota. It's not a slick, high-gloss magazine but rather printed at low cost, with an emphasis on sharing artistry rather than looking pretty. The contributors are often serious amateurs like myself who are passionate about their craft and wildly creative in their interpretation of the quarterly theme. It doesn't cost a lot to subscribe, and along with the subscription you get to contribute images for consideration.

I had a photo published once before already, in the summer 2021 issue, and a second photo is featured in issue 160 that just arrived in the mail with the theme of "Love and Truth."
