I think I've teased this photo set in previous posts, but here it finally is! Usually I share preview images first but this one was a "priority" so I thought there was no need, I'd just post the final edited photos. And then Life happened, and here it is seven weeks later and I'm finally sharing the edited photos with you.
This photo set comes from a photo group called Seattle Nude, Erotic and Boudoir, run by Thrice (who used to have a public Instagram account, but like so many other artists, had that taken down). She's now mostly active on FetLife, and IRL, where she hosts this group roughly once a month, often at Gallery Erato, for whoever wants to come. This time, in June, she offered a "field trip," all the way upstairs to an adjacent photo studio called Kolors Studio.
Unfortunately, the shoot was poorly attended. Thrice and her partner DemonTamer69 were there to be models, along with Xhibited, and about 2/3 of the way through the event a third model showed up. Four photographers were there, including me, so the balance was a bit off, but I was fortunate enough to shoot first with Thrice and DemonTamer69 and later with Xhibited, and to get some great images of both.
The studio had great natural light and a brick wall, which immediately attracted my attention. Thrice and DemonTamer69 posed there on a blue couch, first in underwear and then nude. They were clearly comfortable with each other and comfortable going a little erotic with their poses, though we never crossed the line into anything seriously blue. I love the way the look together -- both their sensual interactions and the contrast between their bodies, female and male, White and Black skin. They're a beautiful couple in both physical and metaphysical ways.
Xhibited, of course, I have photographed before. We did two sets, one on a hanging swing-chair that Xhibited took to a very erotic place, and then in the back window of the studio looking out on the alley, with more themes of brick and light and also, making use of what was handy, a couple of big jars of (plastic) lemons and limes. Actually there was a third set as well, in an old phone booth prop, but I wasn't pleased with how those images turned out; only one of them even cracked my top 100 photos from the day, and that only because I stipulated that one of them be represented.
Xhibited is serious about improving her craft as a model, so we spent some time going over her images, critiquing what worked well, what didn't, what poses looked best, how to make a decent image look even better with a little extra twist to the body or arch of the back. I then got to watch her apply those lessons immediately, as she modeled for Thrice (whose Instagram page as a photographer is here).
More from this set can be seen here. Enjoy!
