In wilderness, we reclaim our place in the natural world, free and unfettered by modern society. These refuges of wildness, though, are dwindling. This is bad news for the plants and animals that depend on them for their existence, but also for we humans who rely on them to sustain our spirit. As less and less of our planet remains untouched by paved roads and concession stands, sometimes one simply has to make do with a tourist park in the off season.
