This has to be one of the most unusual competitions I've ever entered. "
NFTitties" is "
a global participatory art project that anyone can form part of. All you have to do is submit an image of boobs (following a set of
visual parameters) to be sold as an NFT at auction.
"It's not porn, it's for charity! Let’s celebrate boobs in all shapes and sizes while helping others. A part of the proceeds from each auction will be donated to charitable causes fighting breast cancer.

As an artist:
- Create a visual representation of boobs, following the Image Parameters. Make sure it is an artwork made by you!
- Submit your artwork to NFTitties and fill out the dedicated questionnaire that describes your work. You can decide to participate anonymously or by signing your name.
- Our in-house curators then review and vet each submission. If selected, we will notify you via email with the date of your auction.
- Share and promote the project! The more people who bid, the higher the sale, and the higher the sale, the more you make and the more you raise for charity."
- Unclear: How many times can images be submitted? I've asked by email and also with my first submission, but have not heard back yet. The website also does not list a deadline, though the Artist Trust says July 18.
Narrative (limited to 500 characters) submitted with my first entry:
For most of Western history, women have been locked out. Locked out of power, locked out of control over their own bodies, locked out of history itself. Recent political developments in the US. Women are not allowed to bare their breasts for their own comfort in places where men may do so freely. Breasts are forbidden in social media even in art. It is time for women to reclaim their power and their own agency. It is time to free the breast.
Second entry (Free):
Nothing says freedom more than having agency over your own body. Today in America, the land of the free, the home of the brave, such freedom is ironically in peril, especially for those born with reproductive anatomy. It's time to free the body. Free the nipple. Free the breast. Reclaim the freedom we all deserve.
